Alleyne’s Academy is an inclusive environment where every child is valued and respected. We are committed to helping all of our students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), achieve progress in their learning, social and emotional development, and independence. Every teacher at Alleyne’s is a teacher of special educational needs, ensuring that all students’ needs are met through tailored teaching approaches.
A young person may have special educational needs if they have a learning difficulty or disability that requires special educational provision. Our SEND department is here to ensure that every child gets the help and support they need to succeed.

The work of the SEND Department is led by Mr. Bailey (SENDCo) and supported by an experienced team of Learning Support Assistants. Together, they ensure that every student receives the additional help they need to thrive.
At Alleyne’s Academy, we believe in developing not only academic excellence but also leadership skills. Our enrichment activities, both inside and outside of the classroom, provide valuable experiences that foster personal growth and independence.
Our Sixth Form students actively support the SEND Department through the ‘Buddy Scheme,’ where they mentor younger students, particularly helping them improve literacy and other key skills.
