The Learning Support Department supports students who have a special educational need or disability, which requires that additional intervention.
The provision for students could be within the classroom, one-to-one tuition or on a small group basis.
The work of our SEND Department is led by our SENDCo, Mr Bailey, together with his experienced team of Learning Support Assistants.
Enrichment activities, both inside and outside of the classroom, provide opportunities for academic excellence and development of leadership skills.
Sixth Form students support the SEND Department through the 'Buddy Scheme'. This is a mentoring programme which involves students from the Sixth Form helping students with learning difficulties, for example with improving their literacy skills.
