Allergen and Dietary Information

In adherence with the allergy regulations that came into effect in December 2014, Alliance in Partnership (AiP) provides a detailed list of allergens in our menu range at each school. Each kitchen highlights any of the 14 EU-regulated allergens present in meals, and additional ingredient details are available upon request from the kitchen manager or our Quality and Nutrition Manager at allergens@ainp.co.uk.

Managing Student Allergies

If your child has a medical allergy, please inform the school so that we can update the School SIMS system and integrate it with our cashless catering system. This helps students make safe food choices and allows our kitchen staff to verify selected items.

For instance, if a student with a dairy allergy selects cheese on toast, they will be guided to an alternative option. However, the student must also be responsible for making informed decisions.

Gluten or dairy-free items are clearly marked on the service counter. While we do not offer a separate allergy-free menu daily, our kitchen staff is available to assist.

Nuts Policy

We do not use peanuts or tree nuts in our kitchens. Additionally, no ingredients containing nuts are allowed in our kitchens.

May Contain Labels

All ingredients come from a centralized buying list, carefully analyzed by a nutritionist. We thoroughly research items carrying ‘may contain’ labels to ensure they are produced in facilities separate from nut manufacturing areas.

Coconut

Coconut is not classified as a nut and does not fall under peanut or tree nut allergies. We do use coconut in our kitchens.

Sesame

All of our kitchens do use sesame. Please make note of this if your child has a sesame allergy.
