The aim of the meeting was to ensure we provide parents / carers with the key information about year 11, so that you are fully prepared to support your child during such an important year ahead.
During the evening we delivered a presentation covering the following topics;
- Year 11 mock examinations (when they are/what the students’ needs to do/how you can support as a parent/ carer)
- Parents evening
- Report and monitoring schedule (helps parents to track their child’s progress)
- After school revision clubs
- PP support (extra resources that are available to PP students)
- Alleyne’s sixth form (Sixth from open evening/ making an application)
- Careers Information and Guidance (how to access the careers advisor)
- Attendance
- GCSEPod (including accessing IT provision through ‘free IT’ in Stafford)
- Key deadline dates for coursework
- And more….
